Desktop Support
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Be the expert on testing/refurbishing computer information technology including laptops, computers, servers, networking equipment of all brands
- Ensure the safety and destruction of data storage including hard disks and mobile devices
- Document and label both incoming and outgoing materials using internal software
- Inventory products at designated area, organize, and maintain shelf life
- Manage and organize workstation, equipment, staging area and parts area
- Fulfill and exceed daily production quota
- Research on product value
- Maintain a secure facility environment
- Handle goods and equipment properly to avoid damage or breakage
- Maintain clean and safe housekeeping in and around warehouse
- Assist in job training to new staff, participants, volunteers, and clients
- Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
- AS degree or related jobs experiences
- Ability to identify the type and value of all electronics on the fly
- Experience with all computer components, consumer electronics, and enterprise level electronics is required
- Experience with Microsoft Windows, Server, and Apple Mac OS
- Experience with Cisco/Juniper/Dell/HPE enterprise routers & switches (a plus)
- Basic Knowledge of inventory system
- Typing speed at minimum 40 WPM
- Must be a Team player and willing to learn
- Read and write legibly
- Ability to prioritize work
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs. on a regular basis
- A+, N+, S+ and/or other technical certificates
- Microsoft refurbisher certificates (a plus)
